Bonnie Bernice Campbell joined the U. S. Navy as a Pharmacist’s Mate 3rd Class June 5, 1917. [i] He served between 18 October 1917 and 26 February 1919. [ii] He was stationed at the Regimental Headquarters Detachment, Third Provisional Regiment. [iii]
Bonnie B. Campbell was born in Tennessee 27 September 1895 to parents William A. and Jan F, Campbell the oldest of 5 children.[iv] He married Cora Drake 10 May 1922 in Winston, Alabama. The couple lived in Gadsden Alabama until 1935, when they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. [v] The couple divorced soon after that, with her returning to Alabama. Campbell remained in Albuquerque, working in real estate and the building materials industry until his death in 1973.[vi]
